The New Queer Photography (Verlag Kettler)

This carefully researched and richly designed book, edited by Benjamin Wolbergs, introduces around 40 queer contemporary photographic positions, including those of well-established photographers as well as plenty of unknown and less well-known talent.

For the book, I wrote all of the short descriptions of the photographers’ work; as well as several longer essays about documentary photographic series. I also commissioned additional authors – Alexander Chee, Edna Bonhomme, Shiv Kotecha, and Huw Lemmey – to contribute longer written work.

The book is distributed in Europe by Verlag Kettler and in the United States and Canada by Gingko Press.

It has been featured in Vogue, Mannschaft, i-D, ze.tt, stern, Brigitte, Schwulissimo, Tagesspiegel, Der Spiegel, Monopol, Taz, Gayletter, and more.
